She has long raven hair that cascades down her back in waves and stops just above her waist. Her hair is usually unkempt in a somewhat bed head look and is left down most of the time. Her eyes are the colour of obsidian, with no iris, or sclera. It’s as if her pupils expanded to cover her entire eye. She has alabaster skin that seems to pale even more beneath her dark hair. In dim light, her eyes look as though they are sunken slightly into her skull. Her eyelashes are long and dramatic and are usually accented with black mascara. Her once pale pink lips turned black, as if she were wearing lipstick. Her usual dress style is mostly comfy casual. She likes to wear neutral coloured sweaters or t-shirts, with skinny jeans or leggings, and converse. Her wardrobe is never very bright, and is mostly made up of dark or neutral colours. She has a pair of large jet black wings that stick out of her back. In the right lighting, they look light giant shadows looming over you. These were a result of the explosion, causing her to forever hate the scientists for turning her into a “freak”. the personality likes (four plus) -Nature/Being outside -Reading -Learning new things -Singing -Dancing -Flying dislikes (four plus) -Guards/people of authority -Small spaces -Large groups -Being in public -Hospitals -Mirrors strengths (two plus) -Very Charming -Excels at the art of persuasion -Highly Intelligent -Quick study -Skilled actress weaknesses (two plus) -Constantly sarcastic -Never takes anything seriously -Angers easily -Always bored, even when in danger -Problem with authority -Self esteem issues dreams (one plus) -To escape paradise forever and become human again -To be reunited with her family fears (one plus) -That there will never be a way off the island, and she will be trapped forever, never able to know the fate of her parents. overall personality oo Fay absolutely never takes anything serious, she is always making sarcastic remarks about everything, no matter the situation. She doesn’t care if she is in danger, talking about a serious subject, or having a casual chat, it’s all the same to her. Everything bores her and she doesn’t care to pay attention when others are talking to her. All she ever does is daydream about escaping the island. She has a serious problem with authority and will easily be angered around them, she talks back and gets into fights, even starting them herself. This is where it’s helpful that she is quite skilled at acting, allowing her to get away with many things. She attempts uses her charm and her power of persuasion to get anything she needs. Information, items, access to places she shouldn’t be. This doesn’t always go very well, as her victims sometimes catch on, and become angry. This results in either a fight, or a punishment, if she has tried to charm a guard. Her intelligence and ability to quickly absorb information is very handy too in these situations. She can easily get herself out of trouble, and make a clean get away without anyone even knowing what happened if things happen to go right that time. the ability Persuasion- Fay can talk others into doing many things. This allows her to get things she wants or go places she wouldn’t normally have access to. This power isn’t automatic and takes quite a lot of energy to use. It iis not reliable, as it frequently stops working at random times causing Fay to get into trouble when others figure out what she was doing. This power cannot be used to harm anyone, as the human instinct to protect oneself is too strong to be overpowered. Immortality- This power causes Fay to live for an indeterminate amount of time. It is unlikely that she will ever die of natural causes and can only be killed in battle. This power causes her to be unable to get sick and makes it so she does not have to sleep or eat as often as others. There are downsides to this power of course, living forever means that Fay will most likely outlive the ones she loves and cares for. The power does more harm than good, turning her into a social outcast. Flight- With the use of her wings, Fay can go virtually anywhere. Her large wingspan makes it easy to lift herself off the ground and with practice, she has become quite agile in the air. She has tried to use her wings to escape many times, but every attempt has failed miserably. Nonetheless she keeps trying and hopes to one day succeed and escape the island forever. the history mother oo Alana Jameson, 42, Cashier, Missing: Presumed Dead father oo Jared Jameson, 45, Janitor, Missing: Presumed dead siblings oo None other important people oo None overall history oo Fay grew up as an only child with two very loving parents. She always had everything she needed, clothes, food, and though treats were rare, she had some toys growing up. Her parents both had low paying jobs, her mother a cashier at a local grocery store, and her father a high school janitor. They didn’t have much, but they always had enough. Once Fay was old enough to go to school, she was absolutely delighted at the concept of learning new things. Every day she would go and work her hardest to make her parents proud, because it was the one thing she could do for them. Her grades although not perfect, were excellent, As and Bs were all that she would allow for herself. She strived to be the best that she could be. When she got into middle school, she got a job selling newspapers to help out the family and still made time to study. Her grades dropped slightly, but she never let them fall too far, never below a C. She studied hard, always on a mission to work her way to the top. She stayed high up in the ranks, always getting pretty good grades at school, making a small amount of money from her job, and keeping up a good reputation in her community. High school was no different, hard work and perseverance kept her going throughout the tough four years. She joined clubs and helped around the community, making a good name for herself. As the end of senior year came closer, she applied for a community college two towns away. But before she could be accepted, several of her teachers urged her to apply for a better college. They believed she would be able to do a lot more good with an education from a much more prestigious school. So she applied and was given a scholarship to attend an expensive, highly revered college in the next state. She was absolutely delighted, as were her parents because their daughter was going to get an opportunity that they never had. During her first few months of college, she went to her classes and studied just as hard as she had all throughout her other years at school, possibly even harder. When she wasn’t in class, she was either studying, or looking for a job on campus. With no luck in that department, she began a wider search, looking for jobs just outside of campus. Something that wasn’t too far away, which would allow her to make money, and go to school at the same time. After weeks of looking, she struck gold, though it wasn’t the ideal job she had been looking for, it paid great and it wasn’t too terribly far away. It was across the water on a small island. The bad thing was, the only way there was a train with a very specific schedule, so she couldn’t ever be late or she’d never make it to work. She began her job, quickly finding that this would not be completely normal. She would go in every day and sit at her desk, filing papers and occasionally running errands. However, there were areas that she was not allowed into and when she asked about them, she was told to forget about it. She was not allowed to open any of the files that she sorted and she could absolutely not disturb her boss when he was in a meeting. If she walked into his office while he was on the phone, she was quickly and rudely shooed out and told to forget anything she may have heard while in there. They never allowed her to deliver papers to the other building just down the street. They told her she didn’t have the clearance for that kind of job, which confused her even more than everything else that went on. One day, she found out why. She was sitting at her desk drinking coffee and typing up a small report for her boss when an explosion was heard and the building shook, raining down plaster. Alarmed, she immediately left her desk and walked over to the front door. Looking out into the sky, she could see a small, but quickly growing, cloud of smoke. This filled her with worry, it looked as if the secondary building had exploded and was now burning. From what she could see, most of the building was still intact, but she knew something had happened. Something big enough to shake the office she worked in. She pressed herself against the glass, curiosity overwhelming her. With a quick look over her shoulder, she pushed open the front door and started walking. Slowly at first, but worry enveloped her like a cloud of smoke, which seemed kind of funny to her because of the current situation. Her pace quickened before she was practically sprinting down the street, never taking her eye off the smoke. When she finally reached it, Fay stopped and looked around. The wind blew the scent of burnt.. Something, towards her and she cringed. There were people in there, oh god, what if they were injured, or worse, dead. Cautiously making her way around the building, she located the entrance and walked in. The place seemed to be in a panic, papers were strewn everywhere, making her way deeper in she saw desks, chairs, and tables overturned or smashed to pieces. The walls were covered in scuff marks, and scratch marks, and was that...blood? A scream sounded down the hall and without thinking, she rushed towards the source of the noise. Quickly approaching the room she grabbed the doorway to stop herself. Gazing into the room she was horrified by what she saw. Someone ,or rather something, was attacking a man in a lab coat. It broke the leg off one of the overturned tables and swung it at the man’s head, just barely missing. The creature raised the table leg once more and swung it back down, hitting the man in the leg, causing him to cry out. “Stop!” She shouted, running over and throwing herself over him. “Leave him alone! Please!” It seemed surprised, lurching backwards and falling over a chair. Fay quickly helped the man up and pulled his arm across her shoulders. “Come on, I’ll get you out of here. You’ll be alright, I promise.” He nodded and they made their way out of the room as fast as they could. The man winced with each step, but they continued moving. He looked back and gasped. “It’s coming!” He shouted and tried to run, but fell when his injured leg gave out. “It’s in the doorway! It’ll kill us!” Fay looked back and her brow creased with worry, sure enough, there was the creature. It stood there watching them before slowly moving out of the room and towards them. Fay pulled the man back to his feet. “Support yourself with the wall and you should get out of here okay. I’ll go distract it, give you some time to escape.” She leaned him against the wall and turned to go, but a hand on her arm stopped her. “Please don’t leave me, don’t do it kid. You’re too young. I-I can’t let you throw your life away just to save me.” She smiled sadly and shook her head. “It’s about time I did something worthwhile with my life. If I can manage to save you, it’ll be the most helpful thing I’ve done in my entire life.” The creature roared angrily behind them and she shook off the man’s hand, running straight for the monster. It swung at her, but she threw herself to the floor and rolled back to her feet. Dashing around it, Fay ran into the room and looked about for a suitable weapon. A wooden chair sat overturned nearby, it would have to do. She kicked one of the legs off and spun around, readying herself for a fight. Fay had never thought of herself as an especially brave or kind person, but today was the day that she would prove to herself just how far she could go. She took a deep breath and lifted the chair leg as the creature burst through the doorway. Swinging desperately, she struck it in the side, but her makeshift weapon just glanced off. The creature lunged at her and she attempted to lift her weapon and swing again, but was promptly swept to the side. Slamming into a wall, she lost consciousness and slid to the floor. She groaned and rolled over, wincing in pain as the glass scattered about the floor cut into her skin. Tiny droplets of blood dripped from cuts all over her body that varied in size. She rubbed her sore head and looked about. The room was clear of any occupants other than her and the door was broken off one of its hinges. It hung there loosely, just barely holding on, but looking as though it would fall off any second. Standing was difficult, but somehow, miraculously, she managed. Making her way towards the door, she passed a broken window. The glass was smashed in as if someone had punched it in rage. What she saw in it scared her. Someone was staring back at her, they looked like a demon out of a horror movie. It was a girl, that much Fay could tell. Her raven hair stuck out in places, looking a bit like bed head and her jet black eyes were wide with fear. Fay reached up to touch the glass and the girl moved with her, copying her motions. Confused, Fay waved her hand back and forth and the girl continued to copy her motions. She touched the glass, ran her hand through her hair, and made several facial expressions. She couldn’t deny it, this wasn’t a window, of course it couldn’t be a window. It was on the wall dividing the room and the hallway. She put a hand on the mirror, fingers splayed and slowly let it fall before she put her hand to her cheek, her pinky resting on the corner of her mouth. Her eyes welled with tears and she took a shaky breath. This couldn’t be happening, it had to be a dream. She had fallen asleep at her desk and was having a terrible nightmare. Oh, who was she kidding, if this was a dream she would’ve woken up by now. She closed her eyes and the tears began to fall, rolling down her cheeks and dripping off her chin onto the debris under her feet. She was sad and angry and terrified all at once. Her hands formed fists at her sides and without a second of thought, she smashed them into the mirror before her with an infuriated scream. She wasn’t human anymore, she had become a monster, and it was all their fault. Whatever those people had been doing here, it was their fault. They created that monster, it was all their fault. She clutched the sides of her head and leaned forward to rest her elbows on her stomach. It’s all their fault. It’s all their fault. It’s all their fault. She repeated over and over rocking back and forth slightly until she heard a shout down the hall. Fearing what would happen if someone found her, she ran. Out of the room and down the hall, away from the voice. She ran and ran until she felt as if her lungs would collapse. Her heart was pounding and her mind was racing. Looking about, she found that she was in a forest. She hadn’t known how far she had run, as long as she had gotten far far away from that awful place. She leaned against a tree, sliding down into a crouch and cried. She was so overwhelmed that she wasn’t quite sure what she was feeling. Anger. Sadness. Something of that sort. Fay thought about her family, she would probably never see them again. Not that they’d want to see her in her current state. They’d be terrified, they’d hate her. She cried harder, she cried till there were no tears left and then she fell asleep. The next several years passed in a depressed and angry blur. Taking out her frustration on trees and random animals, afraid to leave the forest. What would happen if someone saw her? She wasn’t sure exactly how she had become the way she was, but she knew that it was because of the company she had worked for all those years ago. Completely unaware that there were many others like her, she kept herself hidden from humans at all times. Never knowing that a city was being built and the others were being recaptured and brought back. Not until a little over a hundred years later did she finally decide to leave the forest and explore. the role player ooc name oo Sammi experience oo 3-4 Years other characters oo None yet |
