Lumero Mordez the basics full name oo Lumero Carloso Mordez nickname oo "Grim Reaper", "Death", "Mr. Skellyman", "White Hat" age oo ? (usually appears to be around 50) birthday oo ? race oo god (personification) gender oo male sexuality oo hetero the looks hair oo thick dark hair that goes down to the nape of his neck when untied, usually held up in a small pony tail, with threads of silver streaking through his hair eyes oo golden yellow height & weight oo 5'7" extra oo Almost always wearing a skull mask in public overall looks oo Giving a look at Lumero, you might first question his mask, a skeletal masquerade with a cross etched into its forehead, but then look to find that he was an interesting character in appearance all over. slightly above average height, the god of Death looms a bit over those who are shorter than him. His posture is not slouched in the sense of timidity or apathy, but in the sense of experience and wisdom, usually craning his neck to look at his focus in a casual and leisurely manner. His body itself is quite muscular, and imposes a wide frame upon others, while not so wide to appear stocky or portly in any sense of those words. His glowing yellow eyes pierce into the hearts of those whom he might be disappointed with, yet they can always give a certain warmth to those who deserve it. However, beware of a chilling cold that you might see in his gaze as Lumero can just as easily show nothing at all but two glowing lights in utter darkness, behind an ivory mortal facade. Lumero's fashion sense had always been one of simplicity, but always managing to find a certain elegance as well. These days, you can usually find him wearing a button up shirt with a black tie, often having his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, along with suit slacks that range from khaki to black to grey, a plain black belt and normal brown loafer shoes. On his right hand he wears a simple silver wedding band that he has never taken off. Behind his mask, Lumero's facial features are actually rather handsome, in a more rugged sense. His facial hair has the occasional "peppering" to it, with his lower half covered by a short rounded beard, as well as a small scar that travels from the bottom right part of his lip to the outside of his right nostril. If you were to catch him gardening, chances are that you'd see him in a plaid button up shirt with a gardening apron around his waist, complete with leather gloves and blue jeans. The ensemble would be further established with the wearing of his favorite cowboy boots, a golden brown leather with intricate leatherworking of skulls on the heels and calves of the footwear. Formally, Lumero's outfits rarely change, perhaps added to with the occasional bowtie or suit jacket, which he would promptly remove as it "makes him too warm". In the past, Death had been known to occasionally wear the dreaded black cloak of the night with a sickle in hand, but Lumero had found that it left a poor taste in peoples' mouths, and decided to find a more amicable look to approach mortals with. While normally in this generally unassuming form of human appearance, Death can change to appear somewhat monstrous in nature, black smoke billowing out of a complete skeleton with glowing yellow eyes that haunted one's dreams if they dared to look in, spiked vertebrae giving a sort of intimidating posture to the god's more morbid form. the personality likes (four plus) - gardening - his family - cinnamon buns - humans dislikes (four plus) - unnecessary violence/death - attitude from mortals - onions - death metal music strengths (two plus) - Powerful - Kind - Humorous - Wise weaknesses (two plus) - Depressed - Overprotective - Destructive temper - Sensitive - Clumsy dreams (one plus) - To see his wife again - To provide happy lives for his children fears (one plus) - People dying early on - Never having his work completed overall personality oo Death is not cruel, and he is not blessed nor kind - he simply is. As the embodiment of a universal fact, Lumero is actually quite calm most of the time, only truly emotional in regards to his children or his wife. Otherwise, the god of Death tends to keep a tone of indifference to his voice. That isn't to say he's without humor, as he enjoys making his children laugh with his jokes. However, due to the passing of his wife, Lumero tends to be quite depressed to people outside his family, quite quiet in demeanor and sad behind his mask. Lumero takes his work very seriously, believing that every person's life has meaning and value to it, however short it might be. When people make a mockery of death or threaten it upon others, Lumero usually gets quite angry, even on the point of causing death to his surroundings. It is for that reason that he usually remains isolated in his lifestyle on the island, not wanting to unleash his temper. Even with that destruction, Lumero is actually quite gentle, actively tending to a garden at his house every day. he is able to see the beauty in life, and acknowledges his job as one that nobody truly enjoys or appreciates. Even so, Lumero still continues to work dilligently, showing a great amount of affection for humanity that still lives on even after the tragic death of his wife. the ability Death Manipulation (Active/Passive) oo Lumero is able to make almost anyone die at the touch of his hand after a few minutes, if not given medical attention. That isn't to say that anything he touches will die, as it needs to be a conscious effort in order for him to enact such an effect. He is extremely well disciplined in this power, able to choose which cell in an organ should die amidst thousands of them within a living being. While very powerful, Lumero dislikes using this ability as it often kills beings before their actual time, something that Lumero hates more than anything else. While able to give death, Lumero is also able to prevent it, at the cost of his own strength. Lumero used it to prolong the life of his love, Carmen, until she convinced him to let her die so that he may continue to live as part of existence. Swiftness (Passive) oo Lumero is able to move at incomprehensible speeds with zero noise detectable by any mortal. It is with this speed that he is able to be at every death in the world, ready and willing to guide souls on to the next world. Lumero is able to use this ability somewhat actively in order to gain an advantage in speed, but he tends not to as it is more meant for his job as Death. Physics Manipulation (Active) oo Lumero can control his own physics, able to float, accelerate and decelerate at will. Bullets that are flying through the air can drop like flies in his presence should he so choose to make them fall. He is very well-disciplined in this ability, and can manipulate multiple targets with very little effort. Universal Immunity (Passive) oo As mentioned earlier, Death is a universal fact that continues to exist despite mortal attempts to prevent or avoid it. As such, Lumero is unable to die by most causes, as without him, nothing would die and the universe would be thrown into chaos, plagued forever by its own cancer. His physical form is able to take damage and appear dead, but will revive after a certain amount of regeneration time, usually between 9 and 12 hours. the history mother oo ? father oo ? siblings oo ? other important people oo Brasti (Father Time), long time friend, "brother", currently alive Carmen (Alorosa) Mordez, first and only wife, deceased overall history oo Lumero had lived ever since the first living thing was born, immediately granted knowledge on what it was that he was, as well as what he must do. Throughout history, Lumero did his best to blend in with his surroundings, so as to avoid frightening any mortals with his presence. As wars began to appear within the world, the personification of Death became increasingly perplexed and fatigued by the amount of meaningless suffering that humans brought upon themselves. It was with the meeting of Brasti that Lumero decided to act as the friend that humans needed in their time of passing, so that wars like the one between the two Great Kings would not happen again. As time went on, Lumero found himself settled a bit more in Mexico, working on a humble little farm as the owner. He toiled not for the necessity of food, but for the experience of humanity that kept him attached to the mortal world. One day, while walking through town, Lumero stopped by an open hospital window to see a beautiful woman looking at some birds outside. He was immediately enraptured with her beauty, and wished to know her more intimately. It started with dropping a few firstfruits of the harvest off at her room, unitl eventually he was caught by her one night. He immediately knew of the girl's fate to die, as she had a terminal illness that could not be cured with the current medicine on hand. Eventually, Lumero asked for the girl's hand in marriage, promising her that as long as she wanted to, she could live with him on his farm without any worry of health. Already lovestruck with her little farmer, the girl named Carmen agreed. The two were married and lived together joyfully for many years. They had two children named Pacifico and Maria, who grew up healthy and happy together with their mother and father. Unfortunately, Lumero had committed a grave mistake to his own universal fact; the prevention of death in a human being. The disease that once ate away at Carmen now plagued him constantly, always hidden behind a bright smile and tender love. Eventually, Death's strength gave out whilst in the fields, and he was rushed to the hospital. Once awake, Lumero explained everything to the worried Carmen, who in turn wept loudly into her husband's chest. She couldn't bear to see him suffer like this, and begged of him to let her die, so that he wouldn't feel pain like this. Lumero refused twice before finally agreeing to her wishes on the third night she had asked. After a loving goodbye to her son and daughter, Carmen stepped down into a bed made of flowers that Maria and Pacifico had made. In accordance with the laws of nature, Carmen breathed her last after so much borrowed time, and Lumero finally was healed of his affliction. After guiding his love's soul on to the next world, he fell into a great depression. Unable to cope with the loss of Carmen, he let himself lie in the blazing hot sun for days on end, wanting to be reunited with his now late wife. It was with the announcement of Paradise that Lumero looked at his children and saw that there was nothing left for them in Mexico, and so made their way to the island. Lumero used all of his money to buy a nice house on the beach for Pacifico and Maria to live in, whilst the world-weary father would wander into the forest on the island, resting under a tree called the Tree of Life. Lumero is still not over the loss of his love, and wishes he could see her again, but cannot as long as there are living mortals within the universe. Despite all that, he puts on a nice smile, happy for a safe place for his children, and is extremely proud and protective of them. the role player ooc name oo Aximeck experience oo Approximately 7 years other characters oo |
